I didn’t make this video. I found while trying to decipher 抓 on a menu. It speaks for itself.
Overseas Dragon
Overseas Dragon is a fantastic dumpling restaurant that’s easy to find in Zhunan. Leave the west exit of the train station and go straight for 10 or 15 minutes (on foot).
I’ve broken the menu into two parts to make it easier to read.

This is a menu I photographed on a street near SOGO department store in Hsinchu. For the life of me, I’m still not sure what 焿 means, but I think it translates to pinyin as “gēng.”

Nanzhuang
There is a shuttle bus from Zhunan (100 NT for an all day hop on-hop off ticket) that goes to Nanzhuang old street in the Lion’s Head Mountain region. Like most tourist spots in Taiwan, it’s full of stalls selling xiǎo chī (小吃) which translates as “little eats.”

biǎn-shí (扁食) literally translated as “flat-meal” are wontons
wán (丸) translates as “pill” and in this case refers to balls of fish
kè-jiā (客家) means “Hakka”

pái (排) literally translates as “a platoon” but in this case means filet or steak
